Here’s When the Pixel 9a will Launch this Year

Following recent leaks about the Pixel 9a’s $499 price tag (alongside a more expensive storage variant), it looks like we now have a date for Google’s upcoming midrange handset. As posted by the folks over at Android Headlines, the phone will launch sometime in late March.

More specifically, pre-orders for the Pixel 9a will begin on March 19, to be followed by store availability on March 26. In addition to the $499 128GB variant, the phone will also be available in a 256GB storage version, which will retail for $599. Last year’s Pixel 8a also retailed for $499 for the standard 128GB model.

In terms of specifications, the Pixel 9a will come with a slight redesign, a 6.2-inch display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will also be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, alongside 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone likewise comes with the Titan M2 security chip inside.

The Pixel 9a will feature a 48-megapixel GN8 Quad Dual Pixel primary sensor, and a Sony IMX ultra-wide camera with 13MP resolution; in front there’s a 13MP selfie camera. As for battery, the phone will run on a 5,100 mAh cell which is rather large for a Pixel device.
