WhatsApp for iOS will soon get multi-account support

0

Unlike a lot of other messaging apps, WhatsApp relies on your phone number to serve as your login. This means that creating multiple accounts isn’t as easy as using a different email address. However, the good news for iOS users is that WhatsApp appears to be getting ready to bring multi-account support for the iPhone.

This is according to a report from WABetaInfo who discovered that WhatsApp is currently working on the feature. Support for multiple accounts isn’t new. WhatsApp initially introduced multi-account support on Android back in 2023, but now it looks like it being readied for support on iOS devices nearly two years later.

We’re not sure what is with the delay, but it’s good news for iOS users who have been waiting for that feature. Multiple account support is important for some users, especially those running businesses or managing the social media channels for their businesses. It is more convenient and more affordable than having two separate phones. It also makes it less confusing.

Switching between WhatsApp accounts should be quite simple. The Android version is pretty straightforward and we imagine that this should be the same for the iOS version too. It is unclear when WhatsApp plans to roll out the update but it is something that iOS users can look forward to in the near future.
