With that in mind, LG formally announced that it’s entered into a partnership with Microsoft’s Xbox brand to bring the Xbox app to select LG smart TV models. The app will be accessible via the Gaming Portal on LG’s webOS software interface, which itself already provides access to other apps and content streaming services.

This partnership will give players direct access to games on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, including big-name titles such as Call of Duty®: BlackOps 6, and even select Xbox games that are in a player’s library of purchased games. Lori Wright, Corporate Vice President of Xbox comments:

Our partnership with LG will help players easily discover and play games through the new Gaming Portal on LG Smart TVs. We’re fortunate to have a great partner in LG who will bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to more players, letting new and longtime Xbox’ers find their favorite games and play with friends across screens.
