Gaming brand REDMAGIC recently announced the arrival of the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Lightspeed edition, its latest entry to its gaming phone lineup. The Lightspeed Edition is feature-packed with some of the latest smartphone hardware available at the moment, and undercuts a lot of the competition starting at only $649.
In front, the Lightspeed Edition packs a 6.58-inch AMOLED display manufactured by BOE. It’s got a pretty sharp 1.5K resolution with 2688 x 1216 pixels, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, as well as a 144Hz refresh rate. There are a handful of gaming-centric features which include frame interpolation, 520Hz shoulder triggers, and Z-Smart Cast.

Powering the Lightspeed Edition is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with the company’s own RedCore 3 chip for AI-powered interpolation, as well as 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage for the base model. The handset runs on a 7,050mAh dual-cell Silicon Carbon battery, with support for relatively-fast 100W charging speeds.
As it is designed for gaming, the Lightspeed Edition comes with the ICE X Cooling System, and REDMAGIC says that this features liquid metal technology with a thermal conductivity of 80 W/mK, reducing core temperatures by up to 21°C.
The phone also features a triple-camera system, consisting of a 50MP main camera with OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, complemented by a 16MP under-display front camera for selfies and video calls. Other features include dual 1115K speakers, as well as AI-powered features such as real-time translation and photo-to-text conversion.
The REDMAGIC 10 Pro Lightspeed Edition arrives in stores on January 13, 2025.
