TCL might not necessarily be a particularly huge brand compared to Samsung, Apple, Google, or Xiaomi, but the company does have some pretty interesting products in its portfolio. This year is no different because at CES 2025, TCL has unveiled some new phones and tablets.
This includes the company’s NXTPAPER 4.0 display technology, the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus tablet, and the TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G smartphone.
TCL NXTPAPER 4.0
Starting with NXTPAPER 4.0, TCL claims that its new display technology has been designed for enhanced visual clarity and eye comfort. The company says that it has precise color accuracy (ΔE<1), 100% sRGB coverage, and advanced blue light reduction, thanks to the use of Circularly Polarized Light technology. It even comes with AI features like Smart Eye Comfort Modes that can optimize screen settings for various activities. The display has also been certified by TÜV, SGS, and Eyesafe.
TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus
Next up is the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus. This is the latest tablet from the company that will use the new NXTPAPER 4.0 display technology. With the AI optimized display, TCL seems to have designed the tablet to cater to professionals, readers, and multimedia enthusiasts, basically people who might spend a very long time looking at the display.
The tablet comes with an 11.5-inch display but the company has not mentioned the other specs, namely its chipset of choice and memory.
TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G
Last but not least is the TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G smartphone. This smartphone utilizes TCL’s NXTPAPER display technology. This creates a phone with a display that looks and feels like paper, but with the vividness you might expect from LCD.
It includes features like Max Ink Mode, which mimics an e-ink display for extended reading. There is also Eye Care Assistant for optimal viewing comfort. The display also features a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with 256GB storage, and camera system that consists of a 50MP main.
While these new smartphones and tablets were announced at CES 2025, TCL did not mention how much they will cost or when they will be available. Hopefully the company will share more details at a later date.
