Lenovo just made its rollable laptop concept a reality

0

Some of you might recall that back at MWC 2023, Lenovo showed off a concept laptop with a rollable display. Then last year in December, leaked images suggested that the company could be ready to bring that concept to life. Sure enough at CES 2025, Lenovo has taken the wraps off its latest laptop, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable.

Perhaps the most notable part of the laptop is its rollable display which was developed in collaboration with Lenovo Research. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable features an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that can expand vertically from 14-inches up to 16.7-inches with a simple press of a button or by using hand gestures.

Lenovo says that by using the rollable screen, it can offer users nearly 50% more space of screen real estate. This could be useful when it comes to document editing, data analysis, or presentations.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, Intel Arc graphics, and has connectivity options like Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 7. It sports an edge-to-edge keyboard and has features like ThinkBook Workspace. This helps with multitasking by introducing split-screen functionality along with quick access to apps and tools.

To no one’s surprise, there are also AI-driven features, such as Lenovo AI Now and Copilot+. If you’re interested in the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable laptop, it is expected to be available in Q1 2025 and it won’t come cheap. Lenovo has priced it starting at $3,499.
