Samsung Boasts a New AI Approach to Home Entertainment at CES 2025

The trend of tech brands and manufacturers injecting AI into every device possible is something that we’re probably going to see more and more of in the coming years, and this is very apparent with Samsung’s new smart TVs. Unveiled at CES 2025, Samsung announced the arrival of new models under its TV lineup, alongside a new AI-based home entertainment platform.

Dubbed “Samsung Vision AI,” Samsung claims that its new system allows its TV models to deliver more personalized entertainment experiences for users, with features such as “Click to Search”, “Live Translate”, and “Generative Wallpaper” designed to give users better personalization. Vision AI also doubles as a smart home hub, with features including “Home Insights” for live updates from home, and “Pet and Family Care” for real-time monitoring. Samsung adds that it’s partnered with several other companies including Google and Microsoft for further AI integration.

This includes the integration of Microsoft’s Copilot AI platform, which we’ll see in select upcoming TVs from Samsung.

As for hardware, Samsung introduced new models under its Neo QLED line with the 8K-capable QN990F. In terms of features, it comes with Samsung’s NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor, 8K AI Upscaling Pro for enhancing low-res content, Auto HDR Remastering Pro for tweaking around with contrast and vibrancy, and Adaptive Sound Pro for enhanced audio clarity There’s also Color Booster Pro and AI Mode that can instantly improve picture settings.

Samsung also launched the new Frame Pro, which according to the company packs Neo QLED picture quality for better-looking colors and contrast. The Frame Pro runs on the NQ4 Gen3 AI Processor, and continues the Frame series’ combination of modern display technology with classic indoor aesthetics. The company also partnered with Art Basel, as well continuing to expand the Samsung art store which now features over 3,000 curated works, all of which can be displayed via the Frame series displays.
