Robot vacuum cleaners are a dime a dozen these days. The technology has come far enough where many of them are pretty good at what they do. Some models, in addition to vacuuming, can also mop. But if you’re looking for more than that, the SwitchBot K20+ Pro could be it.
The company has unveiled its latest robot innovation at CES 2025 in the form of the SwitchBot K20+ Pro. On the surface, it might look like your typical robot vacuum, but it is more than meets the eye. This is thanks to the use of SwitchBot’s FusionPlatform. This is a platform that features a ClawLock that basically allows other smart devices to integrate itself with the K20+ Pro.
For instance, SwitchBot is offering multiple ready-to-go kits with the K20+ Pro. One of those kits is the Patrol Kit. This comes with the SwitchBot Pan/Tilt Cam Plus, which when attached to the robot, can act as a mobile security system that patrols your home. There’s also an air purifier kit, a smart delivery assistant, and more.
It’s actually an extremely clever idea that goes beyond just keeping your house clean. If you think that this is a fantastic idea, the K20+ Pro will be available for purchase later this year. The company has not disclosed pricing yet, but we expect those details to be revealed at a later date including how much the optional kits will cost.
