Circular’s Next-gen Smart Ring Packs ECG and AFib Detection

0

We’re seeing a lot of cool and interesting tech from a ton of different brands at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, and one of these is Circular’s new Ring 2. While smart rings aren’t exactly a new technology, Circular promises to “revolutionize” the smart wearable landscape with a host of new hardware advancements on the Ring 2.

At the forefront of the Ring 2’s capabilities is its ECG function, which according to Circular comes with an FDA-cleared AFib detection algorithm. It’s a feature that you won’t see even on some smartwatches on the market, and gives users real-time insights on their stats. Circular adds that the Ring 2 will be able to last for up to eight days, even with daily health and sleep monitoring turned on.

Available in a handful of different colours including Gold, Silver, Black, and Rose Gold, the Ring 2 is made with titanium for a more durable design. Circular also says that users will be able to use their phone to ensure that their order fits perfectly. The Ring 2’s design also allows for wireless charging support for added convenience.

As for pricing and availability, the Circular Ring 2 will be available for $380 around February-March 2025, following a crowdfunding campaign launching this January.
