Google Home and Nest owners are running into issues

0

Google’s Home and Nest smart speakers are pretty useful. They can be used to control smart home devices and ask it basic questions for quick answers. Unfortunately for some, it seems that some Google Home and Nest owners are running into issues where the speakers no longer respond to the most basic of commands.

There are multiple posts on Google’s support forums dating back to late December. According to these posts, Google Home and Nest speakers can’t even answer basic questions like what is the time, how’s the weather tomorrow, and so on. These users are reporting that the light on their speakers are blinking/flashing, but they still get no responses.

The folks at Android Authority have managed to replicate the problem, but it should be noted that not everyone is affected. If you aren’t, then consider yourself lucky. The good news is that Google is aware of the issue with its Home and Nest speakers.

The company issued a statement to Android Authority which says, “The team is still investigating the root cause but have resolved the issue, so all users should be up and running now.” So if you are one of those affected by these issues, it should be resolved now so give it a try.
