As much as we would love it, it would be impossible for companies to launch devices with bug-free software. There are bound to be issues here and there. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S24, there appears to be an issue where taking a screenshot on the phone results in lag. Thankfully, this bug has been addressed in the latest One UI 7 beta 2.
For those who are learning about this issue for the first time, there is a chance you might have noticed it yourself but chalked it up to something else. Basically what happens is that when you take a screenshot, it wouldn’t be captured immediately. Instead, there would be a bit of lag which is kind of annoying.
Samsung appears to be aware of the issue because in the One UI 7 beta 2, the company has seemingly squashed the bug. Screenshots can now be captured instantly and the animation that follows is smooth and jitter-free. You would think a simple action like screenshotting would be bug-free, but we guess not.
The update also fixes are others. This includes intermittent device restarts, wireless DeX not working on some TVs, and more. Take note that this is the beta of the update so unless you’re part of the beta program, you’ll have to wait a bit before the update makes its way to your device.
