OnePlus offers lifetime warranty for green lines on its displays

Over the years, one of the more common hardware issues we see affecting smartphones is in its display. This is where sometimes, the display of phones might suddenly show a green line. If your phone is under warranty, great, if not, you’ll have to pay for repairs. Luckily, OnePlus is here to address that with their “worry-free” lifetime warranty.

The company has announced their “Green Line Worry-Free Solution”. Ultimately, this is where OnePlus is offering customers a lifetime warranty for display issues like the green line problem. The best part is that this isn’t just limited to the company’s newer handsets. According to OnePlus, it will cover older devices as well.

But that’s not all. OnePlus has also announced that they have taken steps to ensure that these issues do not crop up to begin with. This includes using a PVX Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer in the AMOLED displays in their phones. This creates a barrier that will apparently slow moisture and oxygen intrusion. This helps make the display panel more durable and can withstand more extreme temperatures and humidity levels, leading to longer-lasting displays.

They are also putting their devices through extensive testing to ensure that their devices work even at the highest levels. Hopefully you’ll never have to find yourself in a situation where you need to claim this warranty, but it does give us a bit more confidence in OnePlus’ products. Hopefully other handset makers take note and offer something similar as well.
