Power strips aren’t necessarily the most exciting of devices. They’re used if you don’t have many wall outlets but need to plug in multiple devices. Some might come with USB ports and surge protection, but otherwise they’re mostly a functional piece of tech. However, Genki might have changed our minds with the Moonbase.
Genki has announced its first ever power strip called the Moonbase. As you can see in the photo and video, this is one of the most unique-looking and coolest power strips we’ve ever seen! Those aren’t necessarily words you might use when talking about power strips, but we can’t help it.
According to the specs of the power strip, it features 3 AC outlets and four USB-C ports. It is capable of delivering up to 240W of power through the USB-C ports, and maxes out at 140W for a single device. In fact, Genki is offering custom USB-C cables that come with built-in lighting just to cap things off.
We’re not sure if you need such a fancy-looking power strip, but if you do, Genki has launched the Moonbase on Indiegogo. It is available for pre-order and will ship in April 2025. The company will sell it for $120 for the power strip alone, but you can pre-order it at a discounted price of $88. If you want the custom USB-C cables, the bundle with the power strip will cost $129.
