Following its success with its debut electric car, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is gearing up for its next EV, although it’s taking things a step further this time. Known as the Xiaomi YU7, Xiaomi’s first-ever SUV is expected to be formally announced sometime between June and July 2025.
A few details surrounding the YU7 were spotted online via an MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) listing. An announcement made via Chinese social media site Weibo also confirms the vehicle’s arrival date. With that in mind, the YU7 will come with two powertrain configurations consisting of one with 220 kW maximum output, in addition to another with 288 kW.

The YU7 also runs on two motors, with a battery supplied by CATL. The car comes in at 5,302 lbs, measuring 196.8 inches x 78.6 inches x 63 inches with a wheelbase of 118 inches. We can expect more details surrounding the vehicle to follow soon.
