Samsung recently announced the arrival of its much-anticipated One UI 7 beta, which will bring a ton of new functionality to its custom Android interface, including new AI features. The beta will be available for Galaxy S24 devices in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K. and the U.S starting December 5.
As with other custom Android experiences (a lot of which are now baked with AI), Samsung has added some new tricks in the way of productivity. For one, new assistive writing tools make use of AI to give users easy access to spell-checks, content summary, bulleted notes and more.

One UI 7 also comes with the ability to record calls and convert them into typewritten transcripts, reducing the need to manually take notes during important calls. This feature will also be available for 20 languages, at least at the moment.
Samsung has also tweaked One UI 7’s AI features with a new look that works around a modified notification system. This includes the “Now Bar,” which is able to highlight relevant activities from different apps, giving users instant access to notifications based on importance. This will also allow for a more dynamic lock screen user experience, at least on paper.
Samsung has also made changes to One UI’s overall look, which includes tweaks to the app icons, widgets, and even in-app controls such as the Camera app, and the main app menu which now supports vertical scrolling. In addition to the Galaxy S24 series, the One UI 7 beta will eventually roll out for more Galaxy devices in the coming months. Users can apply for the beta program via Samsung Members.
