A self-described AI movie theme park, EdenX is the latest entrant among a growing crop of generative video platforms. But while most platforms have launched with their eyes on the film industry, EdenX is charting a different path.
Their platform is designed to quickly generate a script and video from your favorite TV and film. But you can also add yourself, or what EdenX calls your very own ‘Alter Ego’ off of a single selfie photo. Once you upload that photo onto the platform, you can teleport your digital likeness into what EdenX coins a “Digital Theme Park.”
Your virtual self can interact with notable film characters like your run of the mill superheroes, while stepping in as a supporting actor. Or you can even make the decision to replace yourself as the main character entirely. Much of how you decide to chart your own story is up to you and your ability to write prompts, considering EdenX fundamentally works as a text-to-video platform (for now).
EdenX does support multiple animated formats including manga and Pixar-styles, along with Claymation or photorealistic styles, but also offers a higher degree of consistency and more lifelike character movements, making for a more natural looking video and fewer jarring disjointedness between frames. And upon signing up to the platform the diversity of animated formats is obvious. From One Piece and My Hero Academia to Rick and Morty and even Game of Thrones, EdenX offers an endless list of plotlines and characters to choose from.
What’s enjoyable about the platform is that it’s more purpose driven. It’s offering a sandbox-like environment where you can create your own films, but in a way that’s a lot more personal.
