If you’ve been keeping up with the latest news regarding Google’s new Android 15 feature drop for its Pixel phones, then you might have heard that the update will also feature Night Sight support via the Instagram app. While initial reports state that the feature will be exclusive for mainline Pixel flagships, it seems that this isn’t actually the case.

A representative from Google has reached out to us here at Phandroid, and clarified that the A-series Pixel models will also receive the feature. This essentially means that folks who opted for Google’s more wallet-friendly Android phones will likewise get access to the feature, which should be a game-changer in terms of low-light photography on Instagram.
In addition to this, the October 2024 Feature Drop for the Pixel phones comes with a ton of other features, such as Google’s new Theft Detection Lock and Private Space for added data protection, as well as a manual toggle for Astrophotography mode. Other small changes include slight tweaks to UI animations, and the addition of a new adaptive vibration feature. You can check them out here.
