One of the core advantages of owning a Google Pixel phone is that they are typically the first in line to get the latest Android update. However, this year it seems that the Pixel phones weren’t the first to get the Android 15 update, but the wait could be over as early as today.
This is according to multiple sources, one of which came from Google’s very own Pixel Community forum in Germany, as well as posts on Reddit from users who have received similar emails informing them about the update. According to the post, it has been suggested that the update could be rolling out as early as today.
This seems to be in line with previous rumors which suggested that the 15th of October could be when the update is released. Assuming the post is accurate, Pixel owners should be able to look forward to the Android 15 update today. One thing to keep in mind is that the post mentions that the roll out schedule will be different for those who bought their phones from carriers.
If you own a carrier-locked Pixel phone, Google states that the update will be made available on carriers worldwide next week, so you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer. For everyone else, keep your eyes peeled for any potential notification you might get from Google informing you that the Android 15 update is available for your phone or tablet.
