We guess it’s that time of the year again – Amazon recently announced that it was launching a new wave of updated Fire HD 8 Tablet devices for 2024, giving potential buyers a reason to upgrade from their older tablets. With that said though, there are some things that remain the same with the new Fire HD 8 series.
One look at the newer tablets and you might mistake them for the older models, as they pretty much retain the same overall look. There are some upgrades though, and according to Amazon the new devices come with 50% more RAM, and newer 5MP rear cameras. The tablets also come with up to 13 hours of battery life with continuous usage, and up to 64GB of expandable storage.
As with most new tech products today, Amazon says that the new tablets come with generative AI features, such as writing assist, webpage summaries, as well as a custom wallpaper creator which will be rolling out this month. The new Fire HD 8 tablets will have introductory pricing with prices slashed 50% until October 9, starting at $54.99.
