Keep in mind that factory resetting your smartphone is generally irreversible. This means that all the data on your phone will be erased for good. Factory resetting is usually seen as a last measure when all else fails, or if you need to wipe it before giving it away or selling it to someone. You’ll also want to make sure that your phone is backed up first in case there are things on there that you don’t want to lose during the resetting process.
