Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could outperform the iPhone 16 Pro Max

0

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is Apple’s latest iPhone. It also runs on the A18 Pro chipset, which is Apple’s most powerful chipset. However, it seems that come 2025, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could have what it takes to outperform the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

This is according to a recent benchmark listing for the alleged Galaxy S25 Ultra. The handset is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, and if history is any indication, it could be an exclusive overclocked variant.

Based on the benchmarks, the handset managed to score 3,069 points for single-core performance, and 9,080 points for multi-core performance. For context, the A18 Pro managed similar performance for single-core as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but fell behind in multi-core performance.

How this translates to real-world usage remains to be seen, but it could definitely be a marketing point for Samsung. That being said, benchmarks don’t always tell the whole story and there is more to a phone than just pure performance. Qualcomm is expected to officially announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 next month, and Samsung will officially introduce the Galaxy S25 series in the early part of January 2025.

Until then, it’s best to take these results with a grain of salt.
