Boring! Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus won’t see an increase in charging speeds

0

There are a lot of Android handset makers these days that are introducing faster charging speeds in their phones. Samsung, for some reason, has been content to sit out of that particular rat race. Unfortunately, that won’t change with the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus whose charging speeds will remain the same as their predecessors.

This is according to a listing on the 3C certification website in China. According to the information, both the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus will have similar charging speeds as the previous models. This means that we can look forward to 25W and 45W charging speeds respectively.

It is a little disappointing that Samsung isn’t bumping up the charging speeds. Perhaps the company doesn’t believe that faster charging is bad for battery health, or maybe they don’t care. Either way, like we said, it is a bit of a bummer. As for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it looks like the phone will also retain the same 45W charging speeds as the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be announced in the early part of 2025, possibly around January. We still have a few more months left until the end of the year, so hopefully we’ll have more details soon.
