Android 15 update could arrive for Pixel phones next month

0

Google released the Android 15 AOSP earlier this month, but the actual update for their Pixel phones has yet to roll out. If you own a Pixel handset and are wondering when the Android 15 update will arrive, we now have a speculative date for the 15th of October.

This is according to a report from Android Headlines who has heard from a source that the 15th of October is when the update could be released. As noted by the publication, Google usually releases updates on a Monday. However, since the 14th of October is Columbus Day, a holiday, Google might push it out the next day, the 15th.

This is, of course, assuming that there are no major breaking bugs found that could cause the update to be further delayed. The date also means that this is the longest Google has taken to release an Android update for its Pixel phones. Typically speaking, Google usually releases the update about a week after the AOSP has been published.

If this date is accurate, it means that Pixel owners would have to wait about 45 days for the Android 15 update since its AOSP release. That’s quite a long time! This is also a stark contrast to Apple’s own updates, like iOS 18, which was released a few days after the new iPhones were announced.
