Huawei will be officially unveiling their triple-screen foldable phone tomorrow, a day after Apple’s iPhone 16 event. The jury is still out on whether triple-screen foldables will be popular. After all, we expect that they will be much more expensive than their regular foldable counterparts. But it looks like Huawei could prove the naysayers wrong.
According to Huawei, it seems that the company’s upcoming Huawei Mate XT has managed to amass over 2.8 million reservations to date! That’s kind of insane when you think about it. One thing to note is that it is unclear how many of these reservations will actually translate to sales.
Many could be putting their names down just because they want to see how much it could cost and if the features are worth paying for. We expect some will probably just buy it to be an early adopter, but we won’t know for sure until the phone is released. For those of us in the US, we probably shouldn’t get too excited to see it hit our shores.
Instead, we might have to wait for other handset brands like Oppo and Xiaomi, both of whom are also rumored to be looking to enter the triple-screen foldable space. Either way, check back with us tomorrow for the details on the Huawei triple-screen foldable, the Huawei Mate XT.
