The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL was recently released, but it seems that there are some users who are encountering issues with the screen. According to a post on Reddit by Lean_account, it appears that the corners of the phone’s display are not responding to touch properly.
The problem is that this isn’t even a very consistent issue. Some users are claiming that once in a while, the touch input registers, and sometimes it doesn’t. There is a good chance that this could be a software issue as some users are reporting that the issue goes away when they reset their device.
This is also not the first time we’re hearing about screen problems with the Pixel 9 Pro XL. My colleague recently encountered a problem of his own where the screen would flash a white horizontal line after the phone’s display is turned off. It wasn’t a one-off incident either as it happened a few times.
We’re not sure if this is a problem that other users are facing themselves, but it sounds annoying for a phone that is the most expensive out of the entire Pixel 9 lineup (save for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold). Hopefully Google is aware of this issue and will issue a patch to deal with it soon!
