AirPods Pro 3 with improved noise cancellation could be coming sooner than we thought

0

The AirPods Pro 2 was launched in 2022. This means that it has been more than a year since Apple refreshed the earbuds. If you have been waiting for a new model, you might not have to wait too long. According to a post on X by Kosutami, it seems that the AirPods Pro 3 could be coming sooner than we thought.

We say sooner than we thought because Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had previously suggested that the AirPods Pro 3 might only launch in 2025. This is a tough one because Gurman has a stellar track record when it comes to Apple insider information. Kosutami has also been proven to be quite accurate with their claims.

That being said, according to Kosutami, the new AirPods Pro 3 is expected to come with upgraded digital ANC performance. This means that we can expect improvements in noise cancellation. To be fair, the AirPods Pro 2 already does a pretty good job when it comes to noise cancellation, so we’re not sure if any improvements will be noticeable.

This isn’t to say it won’t be welcome, but it remains to be seen how much more effective it can get. Gurman had previously claimed that the next-gen AirPods Pro could also come with built-in sensors for health-related features. There was no mention of this in Kosutami’s posting. Either way, take it with a grain of salt. Apple has scheduled their iPhone event for the 9th of September, so maybe we’ll have more details then.
