Xiaomi’s onslaught of affordable wearable devices just won’t stop – the company recently unveiled its newest Redmi Watch 5 Active, following the launch of the Redmi Watch 4 several months earlier. With that being said, one of the biggest highlights of the Watch 5 Active is its asking price, which starts at just around $33 when converted.
In terms of design, the Redmi Watch 5 Active features a rectangular design (not unlike the Watch 4) with a single action button on the right-hand side. The device features a 2-inch LCD display wrapped inside a metal body, which encases a 470 mAh battery and IPX8 water and dust resistance. Xiaomi claims that the battery can last for up to 18 days although this is of course subject to individual use.
For software the watch comes with HyperOS, although it works with both Android and iOS devices. Other features include more than 200 watch faces, over 140+ sports and workout modes with automatic workout detection, as well as staples such as 24/7 health monitoring with support for heart rate tracking, blood oxygen saturation, as well as sleep tracking.
While the watch is set to launch on September 3, it looks like it will initially be exclusive for Indian markets.
