Samsung Galaxy S24 FE for US will pack Exynos chipset

0

Thanks to a recent listing on a certification website, it suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could be coming soon. The Galaxy S23 FE made its debut in October 2023, so the Galaxy S24 FE launching in the coming months makes sense. Unfortunately, we might have some bad news for US customers as it seems that the Galaxy S24 FE could use an Exynos chipset.

According to sightings on Geekbench, the Galaxy S24 FE seems to have been benchmarked with the Exynos 2400 chipset under its hood. This is odd and interesting at the same time. Samsung usually uses Qualcomm chipsets for the US market, while the Exynos chipset is used for other parts of the world.

The Galaxy S24 series is a good example of that. The US lineup all uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while there are parts of the world which got the Exynos version. This Geekbench listing also seems to contradict an earlier rumor. We heard a report back in March that suggested that the Galaxy S24 FE could be a powerful handset.

The rumors suggested that Samsung could actually continue using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Galaxy S24 FE. This would put it on par with the non-FE models. However, the report did suggest that there is a chance it could also use the Exynos 2400, so it looks like it was partially correct.
