Last month, Samsung officially introduced their latest wearable, the Galaxy Ring. For a wearable, it actually boasts pretty decent battery life. Samsung claims you can get up to seven days of battery with the Galaxy Ring, and most reviews have found that to be pretty accurate.
However, it seems that after a while, the wearable starts to drain a lot faster than normal. According to a report from SamMobile, they claim to have gotten about six days of battery life at the start. After that, they noticed that they weren’t able to get more than three days of use even after a full charge.
They’re not alone in this either. A post on X by Parker Burton claims that he was previously getting about eight days of battery life, but now the Galaxy Ring drops to 53% only after 15 hours of use. It is unclear what the issue is. It doesn’t really sound like a hardware issue, because otherwise it should have manifested itself at the start.
There’s a good chance that it could be the software of the ring, where maybe it isn’t quite as optimized as it should be. Hopefully this is something Samsung is aware of and that they’re working on a fix for it.
