POCO Confirms the Launch of a New Tablet Model

0

A while back, POCO made its tablet debut with the aptly-named POCO Pad, a budget-friendly device which packed some pretty good hardware specs at a price that’s cheaper than most Android tablets out there. It looks like Xiaomi is looking to further expand its POCO tablet offerings with the announcement of a new device, which is set to launch this month.

More specifically, POCO’s official India page teased the upcoming POCO Pad 5G which adds support for cellular connectivity, something missing from the POCO Pad. With that being said though, it’s unsure yet if the newer tablet will simply be the same device with added 5G support, or a new tablet altogether.

It’s worth noting that the device seems to come with the same display specs as the “original” POCO Pad, at least according to an online store listing. With that said, we’re bound to know more once the tablet launches on August 23.

The earlier POCO Pad which was launched a while back featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 2650×1600 resolution, a 10,000mAh battery with 33W charging, and an 8MP rear camera.
