Realme redefines fast charging with its 320W SuperSonic Charge

The battery tech in our smartphones hasn’t really changed that much over the years. What we mean by that is that we still rarely see smartphones that can get more than a day’s use before requiring a recharge. Instead, what we’re seeing these days is improvements to fast charging tech, and Realme has unveiled their latest creation, the 320W SuperSonic Charge.

We’ve seen some pretty insane charging speeds introduced to phones over the years, but the Realme SuperSonic Charge takes the cake. According to the company, this tech allows phones to juice up at speeds of up to 320W. That’s honestly kind of crazy. Especially when you think about phones like Google’s new Pixel 9 smartphones that only cap out at 45W.

According to Realme, this fast charging tech will allow a phone to fully recharged in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. It also allows a phone to go over 50% in less than two minutes.

Now, with so much power going into our phones, some of you might be concerned about safety. Realme has addressed that with what they’re calling the industry’s first “AirGap” voltage transformer. This basically ensures that the high voltage passing through your phone is isolated from the battery in case anything were to go wrong.

They also claim that despite the more powerful output, the charger size will remain the same as their 240W charger. Of course, this charging tech will mostly only benefit Realme’s phones. Hopefully other handset makers take notice and will introduce something similar to their devices as well.
