Google has pretty much confirmed that they have a new foldable phone in the works. The handset won’t be known as the Pixel Fold 2, but will instead fall under the Pixel 9 lineup as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. So the question is, how much will the phone cost? With that, we have somewhat good news to share regarding the price of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
According to a post on 91mobiles in a collaboration with OnLeaks, they have seemingly confirmed the price of the phone. According to their sources, the price of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will start at $1,799 for the 256GB model, and $1,919 for the 512GB model. This is the good news, where the phone will not see an increase in price over the previous models. The bad news is that it is still an expensive handset.
We had previously come across leaked specs of the handset, suggesting that it will be thinner than its competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is, however, slightly heavier. The upside is that since this is a Pixel device, you will get the most optimized Google experience along with timely updates.
Hopefully these perks will be enough to offset the price and the potential weight. Other potential specs include the use of the Tensor G4. This is the latest chipset from Google and will make its way to other Pixel 9 devices as well.
