We’re sure that many of you have heard of robot vacuum cleaners. They’re great little devices that help you clean your home while you’re away. But have you heard of a robot pool cleaner? If you own a pool, you know that regular maintenance is important, but it can be tedious. This is why if you’re looking to make life a bit easier, then the Beatbot AquaSense Pro could be worth checking out.
Powerful motors for a deep clean
Seeing as how the Beatbot AquaSense Pro is designed to be a pool cleaner, it will face more resistance from the water compared to regular robot vacuums. This is why Beatbot has equipped the robot with a total of 9 very powerful motors.
These motors not only help the robot cleaner make its way around your pool, but also to help climb the walls of your pool to give it that extra bit of cleaning. The motors also help to provide suction power, which according to Beatbot can go up to 5,500GPH.
The motors are also used to power the dual scrubbers in the robot. There’s one placed in the front, and one in the back. This effectively gives you double the cleaning power. They also work at different speeds that help with cleanliness and precision. Speaking of cleaning, there’s a built-in two-layer filter system in the AquaSense Pro.
This filter will help catch debris of varying sizes, like leaves, hair, insects, and more. It can also filter particles a mall a 150 micrometers, so you don’t have to worry about the robot not being able to pick up bits of sand.
Smart mapping technology
Now, pools come in all shapes and sizes. They’re not always rectangular in shape. This can pose a challenge for some robot cleaners, but not the Beatbot AquaSense Pro. The robot cleaner comes with a whopping total of 20 sensor! Yes, you read that right, there are 20 sensors built into the robot.
This allows it to quickly and intelligently map out the shape of your pool so that it knows how best to clean it. It also uses Beatbot’s CleverNav technology, which helps the robot plan the most efficient cleaning paths. It also prevents overlaps and ensures that your pool has no missed areas.
Cleans just about anything
There are some robot pool cleaners out there that are cheaper, but the problem is that they might be limited in what they can do. If you’re looking to just skim the surface of your pool for stray leaves and branches, that’s fine. But if you’re looking for a deeper clean of your entire pool, this is where the Beatbot AquaSene Pro earns it keep.
The robot comes with support for a multitude of cleaning capabilities. This includes the surface level of your pool where it can pick up loose leaves and other objects, thanks to its top suction mouth and debris-rolling brush. It can even clean your pool’s waterline, getting rid of scum rings, oils, and other things along the edges.
The robot is even capable of climbing the walls of your pool, and scrubbing your pool floor. This essentially gives your pool a very, very deep clean! It even comes with ClearWater Clarifying Technology. This helps to spread cleaning agents as it cleans your pool to ensure an even spread and optimal chemical use.
Long-lasting battery
The problem with robot cleaners is that they run on batteries. Batteries do run out eventually. Thankfully, Beatbot had the sense to equip the AquaSense Pro with a pretty long-lasting battery. According to the company, the battery of the robot is rated for up to 9.5 hours when it comes to surface cleaning. If you’re looking for a deep, underwater clean, it can last up to 5 hours for floor cleaning.
Depending on the size of your pool, this should be more than enough to get the job done more than one time.
Final thoughts
The Beatbot AquaSense Pro is one of my favorite new tech gadgets for my backyard. Having used nearly a half dozen robot pool cleaners in the past two years, the AquaSense Pro is, by far, the most versatile one I’ve used so far. Honestly, the only drawback is the $2,199 sticker price. But if you’re looking for an alternative to hiring someone to come clean your pool once a week and don’t want to do the work yourself, it’ll easily pay for itself in a year or two.
