The continued integration of AI features into different software fields and platforms has certainly been interesting to see. Not one to get left behind with this adoption, music platform Deezer recently announced that is beta testing a new AI-powered feature, “Playlist with AI.”
Deezer says that 5% of its paying subscribers will be selected at random to try out the new feature. This lets users create new playlists based on text prompts that describe specific moods, genres, activities and more. Alexandra Leloup, VP Product at Deezer states:
“We’re excited to bring this AI-powered feature to Deezer users around the world… Whether you need the perfect soundtrack for a workout, a romantic evening, or a nostalgic trip down memory lane, our Playlist with AI feature will curate a new musical experience within a matter of seconds, and offers endless possibilities to easily discover new music.”
With that said, Deezer did not specify how long the new feature will remain in beta testing. A while back, rival platform Spotify also introduced AI playlists which worked based on prompts – the feature initially became available for users in Australia and the United Kingdom.
