Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 could launch for global markets

0

Chinese smartphone makers often come up with some pretty interesting devices. The only problem is that a lot of time, Chinese OEMs tend to keep their releases limited. They only release it in China or very specific markets. Luckily, that could change with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 which could launch for global markets.

This is according to a report from tipster Ice Universe who suggests that the handset could be announced soon. They claim that the Mix Fold 4 could also be the first in the series to hit the global stage. This is great news for customers who want a foldable smartphone but don’t want to be limited to just Samsung.

Of course, Xiaomi would be competing with other companies like Samsung, Oppo, and Vivo, but giving customers more choices is a good thing. One potential advantage that Xiaomi could have is that the Mix Fold 4 is rumored to be the thinnest foldable phone in the world. Ice Universe claims that it will measure 9.x mm thin.

At the moment, the title belongs to the Honor Magic V2 which comes in at 9.9mm, so presumably the Mix Fold 4 would be even thinner than that. Also for context, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 measures considerably thicker at 13.4mm. This is just preference at the end of the day, but if you prefer your foldables to be slim, then the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 could be worth keeping an eye out for.
