Meet ASUS’ Newest Wearable, the VivoWatch 6

0

While smartwatches are a common product in today’s consumer tech landscape, there are still a few surprises every now and then when it comes to modern wearable technology – one example is the ASUS VivoWatch 6, which packs some impressive health-tracking features.

While most buyers will be more familiar with wearables from Fitbit and Apple for example, ASUS is banking on the VivoWatch 6’s hardware and software features to help it stand out from a see of smart wearable devices. The watch comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 350 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass protection, encased in a design that doesn’t stray too far from most rounded watch face devices.

The VivoWatch 6 is also able to measure body composition, sleep quality, as well as “Relaxation Index” and “Body Harmony Analysis” tracking. Other features include dual-band GPS and up to two weeks of use on a single charge, giving it an advantage over most smart wearables on the market. The watch comes with medical-grade ECG and PPG sensors for metric tracking.

In terms of availability, ASUS wasn’t too specific about which countries the new wearable will be launching in, although it’s priced at £109.99, or around $140.
