We’ve seen a ton of leaks over the past few months for upcoming Google Pixel devices such as the Pixel 9 series and Pixel Watch 3, although many are expecting that the company won’t be unveiling the devices until later in October. With that said though, it looks like Google is shaking things up this year following some new developments.

More specifically, a number of influencers and tech media representatives have received invites for an upcoming Google event scheduled for August 13. Not much is mentioned, except for the following:

You’re invited to an in-person Made by Google event where we’ll showcase the best of Google Al, Android software and the Pixel portfolio of devices.

Google has also changed its social media banners with the following image:

Given that the Pixel 8a is already on the market, many are betting that Google will launch the Pixel 9 and Pixel Watch 3 series during this event, two months earlier than its usual October launch date. For context, Google rarely launches devices during August, save for a handful of devices such as the Pixel 4a and 5a from years before.

Many are hoping that the Pixel 9 series makes its debut during the event – it’s rumored that Google will offer three different variants of the Pixel 9, consisting of a base model, Pixel 9 Pro, and a larger Pixel 9 Pro XL.
