Nothing Takes to Social Media, Boasts Phone 2a’s Slim Bezels

With the launch of the Google Pixel 8a, many were quick to highlight the phone’s many strengths including the camera performance, improvements to display hardware, as well as under-the-hood refinements, to name a few. However, the phone does leave a bit to be desired when it comes to certain aspects of the design, such as the thick bezels around the display.

We imagine that this is what Nothing had in mind with its latest social media post – more specifically, the fan-favourite smartphone brand took to Twitter/X to highlight the design of its Nothing Phone lineup, focusing particularly on the slim bezels on the Phone 2a. According to Nothing:

Phone (2a) features the thinnest bezels in our smartphone line-up, measuring just 2.1mm symmetrically on all four sides of the screen. A width that is 20% thinner than our first smartphone, Phone (1), and 9% smaller than Phone (2).

We have to agree though – the Nothing Phone series has featured some of the most unique-looking and sleekly-designed Android handsets, on the front and especially on the back. Given that the Nothing Phone 2a competes with the Pixel 8a, it’s unavoidable that comparisons between the two devices will be made.
