Following the launch of the Motorola Razr 40 series of foldable phones in 2023, we expect the company to follow up with its successor. Now thanks to leaked renders, we have an idea of what the upcoming Motorola Razr 50 foldable phones will look like. This is thanks to tipster Evan Blass who shared the renders on his X account.
The renders are of the Moto Razr+ and Razr 50 Ultra smartphones. It might be hard to tell what the differences are between those phones and its predecessors. This is because for the most part, the design hasn’t changed, at least not in an obvious way. The internal and external displays are expected to remain the same for the base Razr 50 model. However, the Ultra model is rumored to see an increase in the outer display to 4-inches.
Other than that, no obvious design changes can be seen. This means that any upgrades will take place under the hood. The rumors are claiming that the Razr 50 will use a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X 5G chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Razr 50 Ultra, on the other hand, might end up using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
It is unclear when Motorola will be announcing these new handsets. The Razr 40 series was unveiled in June 2023, so maybe the Razr 50 lineup will be announced in June 2024. Take this with a grain of salt for now. Hopefully these leaked renders of the Motorola Razr 50 will be of interest to some.
