If you own a Mobvoi Ticwatch with Wear OS, then you might want to check and see if your device is eligible for the latest software update – Mobvoi recently announced that it was rolling out a new update for several devices including the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, and the TicWatch E3.
The update comes with software version numbers RMRB.240228.002 and RMKB.240228.004, and packs some new features for Mobvoi’s wearables. This includes an option to pick a desired shortcut for the secondary function key, a fix for an issue with Bluetooth calling, as well as updated security patches. Interestingly, the update also removes a handful apps including Calculator and TicBreathe.
Mobvoi adds that the new update will be rolled out in phases depending on device and region. Users can check for the update via Settings > System > About > System Updates.
A few months ago, Mobvoi finally brought over the Wear OS 3 software upgrade for several of its devices, which includes earlier models such as the ones mentioned above. With that being said, we’re hoping that Wear OS 4 arrives soon, given that other Wear OS devices have started receiving it.
