AI is slowly creeping into our lives and if you own a Samsung smartphone, you might want to keep an eye out for the One UI 6.1 update when it is available. This is because it looks like it will be getting AI capabilities.
According to a post on X by @techdroider, it seems that in the upcoming update, Samsung will be introducing AI features to its native Android keyboard. Some of the features include changing how your sentences sound, where users can choose between various options like “professional”, “casual”, “social post”, “polite”, and so on.

This could be useful for a variety of purposes. For example, if you’re not someone who uses professional language often but you need to write a formal email or send a formal text message, the AI could help make your sentences sound a bit more professional. Or maybe you need to post something on social media but don’t want to sound too stiff, and so on.
It’s actually pretty cool! We haven’t tried it yet so we’re not sure how accurate the AI features will be, but we think there is a practical application for it. The AI keyboard is just the tip of the iceberg though. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S24 series of phones next year where apparently they will come with a ton of AI features, so this is just a taste of what’s to come!
