The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition is aimed at golfers

The majority of smartwatches we see in the market today are typically jack-of-all-trade types of devices, meaning that they come with features that cater to both casual and enthusiasts and are usually good enough where most people can use it without any issues.

But if you’re looking for something a bit more specific, Samsung has announced a variant of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic that is aimed at golfers. This comes in the form of the PXG Edition smartwatch, in which Samsung has teamed up with golf brand PXG to create a version of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic that should come with features that would satisfy golfers.

Under the hood, the smartwatch is identical to the regular Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The main difference would be the straps in which there will be two types of PXG straps offered, and two different PXG watch faces. The smartwatch will also come with Golfzon’s Smart Caddie app that will provide users with access to functions like auto-shot tracking, recording the location of your shot, number of shots, and so on.

There will also be some goodies bundled with the smartwatch, including a PXG ball pouch, a PXG golf ball, and a PXG ball marker. The watch will be priced at KRW 869,000 (~$656) for the 43mm model, and KRW 899,000 (~$678) for the larger 47mm model. At this point in time it appears that it will only be available in South Korea as there is no word on global availability.
