One of the things we’re realizing with foldable phones is that the camera department tends to be neglected. The cameras on these phones aren’t terrible by any means, but it definitely feels like the companies that make these phones are focusing more on the foldable display rather than the cameras.
But that has changed with the launch of Oppo’s latest foldable – the Oppo Find N3 Flip. This is the first foldable flip phone to pack a triple camera setup, although honestly how well it will fare remains to be seen, but the additional hardware probably couldn’t hurt.
The cameras on the phone include a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 32MP telephoto, all of which sports Hasselblad’s branding as part of the company’s ongoing partnership with the camera maker.
As for the rest of its specs, the phone features a 6.8-inch display unfolded with a 120Hz refresh rate, but the company has opted to remove the screen’s polarizer that should help with battery life. The cover screen’s software has also been upgraded where it will now be able to run apps like YouTube, Gmail, and Google Maps, just to name a few.
The company has not mentioned pricing yet, but for context, the Find N2 Flip was priced at around the $1,000 mark, so we expect the Find N3 Flip will go for roughly the same. The phone will also be initially launched in China, but the company has confirmed that it will be coming to global markets soon.
