Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra bezel sizes revealed

0

The design of our phones have evolved over the years thanks to the advancements in technology which have made components smaller, displays thinner, batteries bigger, and so on.

Unfortunately, bezels on our smartphones are still a thing and while handset makers like Apple are rumored to try and reduce the bezels even further, Samsung seems to be headed in the opposite direction with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This is according to a post on X by tipster Ice Universe who revealed the bezel sizes of the phone.

According to the post, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature top and bottom bezels measuring 3mm thin, while the side bezels are said to measure 3.42mm, effectively making them around the same size as Samsung’s mid-ranger, the Galaxy A54. The post also claims that this is the lowest screen-to-body ratio since the Galaxy S10, which almost feels like Samsung is taking a step backwards.

It is unclear why the company isn’t too concerned about its bezel sizes. Maybe they have their reasons, or maybe it’s just cheaper to make the phone without trying to reduce the bezel sizes. Either way, it is still a rumor for now so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt. The Galaxy S24 series is only expected to launch in early 2024, so there is still a bit of time left before that happens.
