Another day, another new Pixel leak – with the Pixel 7a launch just days away, a couple of new videos showing the actual hardware in-hand have surfaced on YouTube, stripping away any remaining mystery surrounding the upcoming midrange Android phone.
A tear-down video was posted by YouTube channel PBKReviews, which shows a step-by-step disassembly video of the phone in its Charcoal variant. The teardown does confirm several speculations about the device, which shares some similar specs with its older sibling, the Pixel 7.
Additionally, a separate video from YouTube channel munchy shows a more user-centric take on the Pixel 7a, this time appearing in its blue color variant. The video goes on to describe several of the Pixel 7a’s features, including the device’s plastic build, as well as size and weight comparisons to other Pixel phones, including the Pixel 6a.
Google’s devices have a track record of showing up too early in photos and videos long before they are released, as we saw with the Pixel 6, Pixel 6a, and even the Pixel Watch. With that said, it should be interesting to see how Google reacts to these new “unofficial” product showcases just days before its big IO Conference, which is scheduled to go live on May 10.
