Samsung’s smartwatches come with a ton of features, whether it be for entertainment, communication, or health. That being said, it doesn’t mean that it is perfect the way it is and changes and improvements are always welcome, and that’s exactly what Samsung is doing.
The company has announced the latest update to its smartwatches, namely the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5, where they will be updated to One UI 5 Watch that will introduce a bunch of new features that users can look forward to.
One of the new features that they will be introducing is better sleep insights. The new Sleep Insights UI will show users their sleep score along with information like how much time they spent snoring, SpO2 levels, and the various stages of their sleep. Users will also be able to access Sleep Coaching from the watch itself, and if you happen to own a SmartThings compatible device, there will be better integration/synchronization that will correlate to the user’s sleeping habits.
Samsung will also introduce new fitness capabilities and coaching, with a new personalized heart rate zone that will create tailored running tools. The heart rate zone will also analyze your physical capabilities and set workout intensity levels that will be optimal for your current fitness level.
Last but not least, there will be better user safety features introduced in One UI 5 Watch. This includes the ability to directly communicate with an emergency phone number that will transmit information about the user’s location and medical information.
Keep in mind that the update isn’t live yet. It will be available for beta testing through the Samsung Members app at a later date, so if you own the Galaxy Watch 4 or Watch 5, then this could be something you could check out.
