If you own a Google Pixel Watch, then you might want to check and see if the newest software update has arrived for your device. Google has finally released this month’s software update for the Pixel Watch, which brings the May 2023 patch for the Wear OS-powered wearable. As per Google’s official support page:
“We have provided the monthly software update for May 2023. All supported Pixel Watch devices running Wear OS 3.5 will receive these software updates starting today. The rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device. Users will receive a notification once the OTA becomes available for their device. We encourage you to update to receive the latest software.”
The update comes with software version number RWDA.230114.013, and although it doesn’t bring major changes to the device, it nevertheless comes with the standard monthly patch for security issues.
A while back, the Pixel Watch received Fall Detection functionality via an update, which enables the device to initiate communication with emergency services based on a user’s body motion, monitoring for possible falls and lack of movement.
