Another week, another new POCO announcement – Xiaomi has not slowed down in giving its fans more smartphones through different specs and branding strategies, and it looks like the company’s POCO brand is scheduled to add a new device to its roster soon.

More specifically, the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro have been teased by the company, through a post from the official POCO Twitter account. The post doesn’t offer much of a clue as to the actual appearance of the devices themselves however, as all POCO has shared is an image showing cybernetic design aesthetics, in addition to the phrase “Ignite your hyperpower.”
The launch is scheduled on May 9 on 20:00 GMT-8, and will be a purely-online event.
While it’s clear that no hardware specs have been released or teased yet, it’s very likely that we might get some staples from the POCO hardware line such as large displays, 5000 mAh battery capacities with fast-charging support, multiple camera arrays with included macro and depth sensors, as well as the latest MIUI software version. Of course, fans will have to wait for the event itself (or at least some official teasers from POCO) to get a better idea of what to expect.
