Motorola has confirmed that they are working on a new Razr foldable phone and have kind of confirmed that it will feature a larger external display that could be bigger than 3-inches. This is great news because a larger external display would make the phone more functional and accessible without having to flip it open.
For those wondering what it could look like, tipster Evan Blass (private account) has shared renders of the upcoming handset on his Twitter profile, which you can see in the images below.
We have to say that with the larger external display, the Motorola Razr 40 actually looks pretty cool. The display also looks massive and is said to be around 3.5-inches in size, which is pretty decent (especially when you think about the fact that the first iPhone launched with a display of that size).
The external display now looks like it will be capable of showing off more information in a bright and colorful way. We’re not sure exactly how much function Motorola will be giving to its external display, but hopefully it will be something useful instead of being a glorified clock with a big screen.
Motorola hasn’t confirmed when the new Razr 40 will be launching yet, but if recent leaks are to be believed, the handset could be priced at around €1,200.
