Not all phones are necessarily made the same. On the surface flagship phones can feel quite similar, but it’s the different choices they make when it comes to individual components that can make one phone feel “better” than the other.
If connectivity speeds are important to you, then you might want to consider getting your hand on a Samsung phone. This is because according to a survey conducted by Ookla, they have found that in terms of download and upload speeds, Samsung’s latest smartphones are absolutely crushing it.
According to their data, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has the fastest media download and upload speeds, clocking in at 161.86Mbps and 16.19Mbps respectively. Coming in second place is the Galaxy Z Fold 4 which boasts 143.57Mbps in downloads, and 13.59Mbps in uploads.

In third place is the Google Pixel 7 Pro which achieved 132.57Mbps in downloads and 15.31Mbps in uploads. All these phones actually beat out Apple’s more expensive iPhone 14 Pro Max which only managed 130.99Mbps for downloads and 14.47Mbps for uploads. Keep in mind that your experience might not necessarily be the same as what Ookla is reporting.
This is because speed can vary depending on your carrier, your signal strength, and how congested the network is at that time, but at the end of the day, it would seem to suggest that if download speeds are critical to you, then maybe it might be worth considering the Galaxy S23 Ultra or the Fold 4 as your next smartphone.
